This workshop was held for district administrators to provide an overview of the five district decisions that must be made related to Student Learning Objectives. Administrators were taken through the process by writing a Student Learning Objective for a grade level/course to serve as a beginning point in making the decisions.

Once a district determines which teachers need SLOs, those teachers should use the template below to create the SLO and ensure that it contains all of the required elements. Two NYSED-provided exemplars in the template format are for reference only. Additionally, the participants in the March Network Team Training created a wiki where additional samples of SLOs are posted. (NOTE: Those Network Team samples are for reference only and have not been endorsed by NYSED.)
