E2 Invents
Jump-started with an engaging three days led by Gary Stager and Sylvia Martinez, regional Erie 2 BOCES teachers engaged in making, learning and planning for creating their own maker spaces in district. This collaborative effort among the programs of the Erie 2 BOCES Instructional Support Services Division and SUNY Fredonia, Science Center is a year long initiative which will culminate in a Chautauqua County Maker Faire in the Spring of 2016.
Invent to Learn
August 10-12, 2015
Twelve district teams - comprised of teachers and administrators - attending a three day workshop led by Gary Stager and Sylvia Martinez to learn how to engage students in dynamic problem solving that involved different levels of technology and non-technology. Intermixed with their own design and opportunities for play, educators had an opportunity to plan for implementation of a Maker Space in their classrooms and districts. District teams were provided with a introductory "Maker Kit" in order to help them in that process.
